Grading Jersey Coins:
The George V Series

It is best to know each issue and what to judge in grading. On the obverse, look at the crown and pay attention to the jewels. We all know that diamonds are a girl's best friends, but it certainly helps here too. On the reverse, look at the lions and judge their grade. Just as in real life, the lions' mane is a signal of quality, and ignorance comes with consequences. Each species is slightly different, look and learn.
