DECIMAL CURRENCY (AMENDMENT No. 4) (JERSEY) LAW, 1985

A LAW to amend further the Decimal Currency (Jersey) Law, 1971, sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the

19th day of December, 1984.

THE STATES, subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law:  -

ARTICLE 1

Article 3 of the Decimal Currency Law, 19711 as amended,2 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Law”) shall be amended by adding after paragraph (4) the following paragraph –

“(5)         The Committee may by order call in coins issued in pursuance of this Article.”

ARTICLE 2

Article 4 of the principal Law1 shall be amended in paragraph (1) by inserting after the words “coins issued by the Committee” the words “and not called in by order under paragraph (5) of Article 3 of this Law”.

ARTICLE 3

This Law may be cited as the Decimal Currency (Amendment No. 4) (Jersey) Law, 1985.
