CURRENCY NOTES (VARIATION OF MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF ISSUE) (JERSEY) REGULATIONS 1999

THE STATES, in pursuance of paragraph (2) of Article 1 of the Currency Notes (Jersey) Law 1959, as amended1 (hereinafter referred to as “the Law”), have made the following Regulations –

1.             In sub-paragraph (b) of the proviso to paragraph (1) of Article 1 of the Law,1 for the words “fifty million pounds” there shall be substituted the words “seventy-five million pounds”.

2.             The Currency Notes (Variation of Maximum Amount of Issue) (Jersey) Regulations 19892 are repealed.

3.             These Regulations may be cited as the Currency Notes (Variation of Maximum Amount of Issue) (Jersey) Regulations 1999 and shall come into force on the day following promulgation.
