CURRENCY NOTES (VARIATION OF MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF ISSUE) (JERSEY) REGULATIONS, 1983.

THE STATES, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph (2) of Article 1 of the Currency Notes (Jersey) Law, 1959, as amended,1 (hereinafter referred to as “the Law”) have made the following Regulations:  -

1.      In sub-paragraph (b) of the proviso to paragraph (1) of Article 1 of the Law, for the words “fifteen million pounds” there shall be substituted the words “thirty million pounds”.

2.      These Regulations may be cited as the Currency Notes (Variation of Maximum Amount of Issue) (Jersey) Regulations, 1983 and shall come into operation forthwith on promulgation.
