CURRENCY NOTES (AMENDMENT No. 4) (JERSEY) LAW, 1976

A LAW to amend further the Currency Notes (Jersey) Law, 1959, sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the

18th day of FEBRUARY, 1976.

THE STATES, subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law:  -

ARTICLE 1

In Article 1 of the Currency Notes (Jersey) Law, 1959,1 as amended, immediately before the words “The Finance Committee” there shall be inserted the figure “(1)” and after paragraph (1) there shall be added the following paragraph –

“(2)        The States may by Regulations vary the maximum denomination of currency notes issue in circulation at any one time.”

ARTICLE 2

This Law may be cited as the Currency Notes (Amendment No. 4) (Jersey) Law, 1976.
