CURRENCY NOTES (AMENDMENT No. 2) (JERSEY) LAW, 1971.

A LAW to amend further the Law relating to currency notes, bills of exchange and promissory notes, sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the

5th day of APRIL, 1971.

THE STATES, subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law:  -

ARTICLE 1

In Article 1 of the Currency Notes (Jersey) Law, 19591 as amended,2 for the words “five pounds” there shall be substituted the words “twenty pounds”.

ARTICLE 2

In Article 5 of the “Loi (1813) concernant le paiement de lettres de change, etc.”, as amended,3 for the words “cinq livres” there shall be substituted the words “vingt livres”.

ARTICLE 3

This Law may be cited as the Currency Notes (Amendment No. 2) (Jersey) Law, 1971.
