The Royal Mint Records for the 1861 Issue
1861 One Thirteenth of a Shilling

Reviewing the following Royal Mint correspondence we learn that a nominal value of £1000 of
coins were minted -- 173,333 of 1/13th of a shilling and 173,333 of 1/26th of a shilling.
The total cost of production of the 1861 coinage was £591/2/11.
