For the 1923 Type 1 half penny there are two die varieties consisting of a two obverse dies paired with a single reverse die. 
  • Obverse 1:
    • The S in GEORGIVS is not repunched.
  • Obverse 2:
    • The S in GEORGIVS is repunched.
  • Reverse A:
    • There is only one die.
